PREPARE A DETAILED ANALYSIS 'OP THE
SIZE, LOCATION AND PUNDXNG TECHNIQUES
REQUIRED To DEVELOP A PU LIC PARKING
GARAGE POR THE COCONUT GROVE AREA To
CONCENTRATE NEEDED PARKING FACILITIES
THEREBY ALLOWING THE ACTIVE USE OF
RETAIL PROPERTY FOR PLAZA, TERRACES
AND SHOPS IN A MANNER THAT WILL
STRENGTHEN THE PEDESTRIAN SCALE AND
CHARACTER OF THIS UNIQUE AND VITAL
VILLAGE CENTER.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Planning Advisory
Board, on June 4, 1975, by Resolution PAB 46-75, recommended
that the City Commission direct the Off Street Parking Authority
to prepare a study as hereinafter set forth;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA
Section 1. The Off -Street Parking Authority is hereby
directed to prepare a detailed analysis of the size, location and
funding techniques required to develop a public parking garage
for the Coconut Grove area to concentrate needed parking
facilities thereby allowing the active use of retail property
for plaza, terraces and shops in a manner that will strengthen
the pedestrian scale and character of this unique and vital
