T CT, CONTAINING A SE .TERAEILITY' PROVISION: AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. HE. IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSXON OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, Section 1. Subsection (6) and (7) of Section 2-48.2 of the City Code is amended to read as follows:. 1/ ....L...2-48.2. Same -Regulations generally., (6) ° Other than the area designated for use by self-contained camper trailers, it shall be un- lawful to parka motor vehicle, or boat to anchor, moor or dock a boat overnight anywhere in the marine stadium area or to use any portion or facility of the marine stadium for.overnight lodging. (7) The public shall have, access to the boat hoist: and boat ramp facilities . at the marine stadium during daylight hours at times when events are not being conducted. There is hereby. established a fee of two dollars as payment for the ` use of the boat ramp. However ;-se-evePsight parfting-shall-be-permitted Section 2. Section 2-48.2(8) of the Code of the City of Miami, is hereby enacted to read as follows: 1/ (8) A land area at the Marine Stadium shall be designated wherein self-contained camper trailers may be parked and utilized for overnight lodging at a fee to be established by ordinance. _The city manager shall establish such regulations necessary for theicontrol and management of this operation. 1/ Words stricXen through shall be deleted, Underscored words constitute the amendment proposed, Remaining provisions are now in effect and remain unchanged. Section 3. Parking charges (e) Other .than the area at the Marine Stadium designated for use by self-contained camper trailers, no overnight parking is permitted on city -owned parking lots. Section,5. All ordinances, code sections or parts thereof in conflict herewith, insofar as they are in conflict,. are hereby repealed. Section"G. Should any part or provision of this ordinance be declared by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, the same shall not affect the validity of the ordinance as a e.hole, or any part thereof, other than the part declared to be invalid. Section_7. It is the intention of the City Commission, and it is hereby ordained that the provisions of this ordinance shall become and be made a part of the Code of the City of Miami., Florida, that the sections of this ordinance may be renumbered r or relettered to accomplish such ihtentiOn''and that the word "ordinance" may be chancled to "section," !`article," or other appropriate word, Section '. In preparation for the provision of such a facility at the Marine Stadium to accommodate self-contained campers, it %vill be necessary to amend several sections of the City Code which now prohibit such camping. THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC FACILITIES RECOMMENDS THAT THE COMMISSION ADOPT AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 2-48. 2. 6, 38-54. 1,, and 39-24 (e) OF THE CITY CODE, TO PERMIT ESTABLISHMENT OF AN AREA AT THE MARINE STADIUM, 3601.
