A RESOLUTION ACCEPT/NO THE R1t5 OP THE EREt Ei COMPANY OE PLORIDA, INC., IN THE AMOUNT O $284,966,25 ?OR THE CONSTRUCTION OP FASHION HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT H-►4 5 ., Et1 f"A" (HIGHWAYS), ALLOCATING THE AMOUNT OF $284.,966.25 PROM THE ACCOUNT ENTITLED "HIGHWAY FOND PUNbS" TO COVER THE CONTRACT COST; ALLOCATING PROM SAID ACCOUNT THE AMOUNT OE $ 28 , 4 9 6.63 TO COVER THE COST OP PROJECT EXPENSE; ALLOCATING PROM SAID ACCOUNT THE ADDITIONAL AMOUNT OP $ 2 , 699.12 TO COVER THE COST OF ADVERTISING, TESTING LABORATORIES AND POSTAGE; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH SAID FIRM WHEREAS, sealed bids were received February 27, 1975 for the construction of FASHION HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT H-4381, BID "A" (HIGHWAYS) ; and WHEREAS, the City Manager reports that the $284,966.25 bid of The Brewer Company of Florida, Inc. is the lowest responsive bid and recommends that a contract be awarded to said firm; and WHEREAS, funds are available for allocation from the account entitled "Highway Bond Funds" for the amount of the contract, for project expense; and for advertising, testing laboratories and postage; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The bid of The Brewer Company of Florida received on February 27, 1975 in the amount of $284,966.25 for the project entitled FASHION HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT H-4381 BID "A" (HIGHWAYS) in FASHION HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT H-4381 - BID "A" (HIGHWAYS) , namely Items 1 through 25A of the proposal, based on unit prices be, and the same is hereby accepted at the price stated therein. The amount of $284,966.25 be, and it it hereby, allocated from the aecoUnt entitled qiighway Bond to cover the amount of the contract. Section 3. The anount of $28,496.63 be, and it is hereby, allocated from the aforesaid account to cover the cost project expense which includes engineering, surveys and inspection work performed by city forces. Section 4. The additional amount of $2,699.12 be, and it is hereby, allocated from the aforesaid account to cover the cost of expense which includes but is not limited to cover the costs of advertising, testing laboratories, postage, printing and blue- printing by city forces or outside vendor. Section 5. The City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to enter into a contract on behalf of the City of Miami with The Brewer Company of Florida, Inc. for the construction of FASHION HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT H-4381-BID "A" (HIGHWAYS) in FASHION HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT H-4381 - BID "A" (HIGHWAYS) .
