It was recently brought to our attention that 1teso1ution
No, 74-1187, pertaining to the LEAPT Grant entitled,
"COMMUNITY EVALUATION OF POLICE PROGflM EFFECTIVENESS",
did not Meet with the requirements set down by the
Bureau of Criminal Justice Planning and Assistance in
Tallahassee.
It appears that the Bureau needs a revised resolution
that states in greater detail, that the City of Miami
will meet all local cash match requirements included in
the grant. Such assurance is included in the revised
resolution.
On October 10, 1974, the City Commission approved
$110,000.00 for future Federal Grant projects. The
$4,166.00 hard cash match in this Grant application
will come from these funds.
It is hoped that this memorandum will provide you with
sufficient explanation as to why this resolution must
be resubmitted to the City Commission.
