WHEREAS, the present doors at the Orange Eow1 Stadium
are not secure enough to prevent burglaries, resulting in hard, -
ships for the concessionaires; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to replace the Roll -Up
Doors without delay; and
WHEREAS, the cost of the aforesaid work including
engineering will cost $33,473.00 and funds are available
for allocation from the Orange Bowl Fund Balance;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Ordinance No. 8316 (the Appropriations
Ordinance forthe 1974-75 Budget) is hereby amended by
appropriating $33,473.00 from the Orange Bowl Fund Balance
to cover the cost of the ORANGE BOWL - ROLL -UP DOOR REPLACEMENT
- 1975.
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances,
insofar as they are in conflict with the provisions of this
ordinance, are hereby repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance is hereby declared to
be an emergency measure on the ground of urgent public need
for the preservation of peace, health, safety and property
in the City of Miami,
Section 4. The requirement of reading this
ordinance on two separate days is hereby dispensed with by
a vote of not less than four -fifths of the Members of the
Commission
The provisions of this ordinance shall
become effective on
