IN THE ESTIMATED AMOUNT OF $24104' FOR CITY HALL ELECTRICAL IMPROVEMENTS .. 1975; ALLOCATING THE AMOUNT OF $24,047 FROM SPECIAL REIMBURSE WENT FUNDS THE CITY HAS RECEIVED UNDER THE LAW 92ta500 "FEDERAL WATER POLLUTION CONTROL ACT AMENDMENTS 1972" TO COVER THE ESTIMATED AMOUNT OF THE CONTRACT; ALLOCATING FROM SAID ACCOUNT THE AMOUNT OF $2)404.70 TO COVER THE COST OF PROJECT EXPENSE; ALLOCATING FROM SAID ACCOUNT THE AMOUNT OF $480,30 TO COVER THE COST OF SUCH ITEMS AS ADVERTISING, TESTING LABORATORIES, POSTAGE, ETC., AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH SAID FIRM WHEREAS, sealed bids were received May 7, 1975 for the CITY HALL ELECTRICAL IMPROVEMENTS - 1975; and WHEREAS, the City Manager reports that the $24,047 bid of Electric Power & Service, Inc. is the lowest acceptable bid and recommends that a Contract be awarded to said firm, and WHEREAS, funds are available for allocation from Special Reimbursement Funds the City has received under the Law 92-500 "Federal Water Pollution Control Act Amendments - 1972" NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA; Section 1.That the May 7, 1975 bid of Electric Power &Service, Inc. in the estimated amount of $24,047 for the project entitled CITY HALL ELECTRICAL IMPROVEMENTS 1975, namely Base Bid of Proposal, based on lump sum bid be, and the same is hereby, accepted at the price stated therein. Section 2 That the amount of $24,047 be, and it is hereby, allocated from Special Reimbursement Funds the City has received under the Law 92-500'Federal Water Pollution Control Act Amendments - 1972" to cover the estimated cost of the Contract. Section 3, That the amount of $2,404.70 be, and it is hereby, allocated from the aforesaid account to cover the cost of Project Expense which includes engineering, surveys and inspection work performed by City Forces, `DOCUMENT INDEX ITEM NO.02 CITY COMM!; °w''C't , 1 Section 4. SUe,Ec; City Hall - Electrical ItnproVerhe = 1975 F EFEFlEbd^FS: L Cl.O UFrc: : Bids are to be received on Ma.y 7, 1975, to replace the -antiquated and overloaded electrical service arid switch gear serving the City' Hall building. This electrical equipment was last modernized when this building was altered to provide office space for City Hall operations. Since that time, the air conditioning has been added to several times and a substantial quantity of electrical machines and equipment have been placed in service which overtaxes the existing power supply. We have been informed that unless this electrical system is brought up to code requirements, we will not be allowed to add any additional electrical demand.
