FOR A PORTION OP THE COST THEREOP AS S.W. 8
AVENUE SIDEWALX IMPROVEMENT SX 4387 AND ALLOCATING
THE AMOUNT OP $500.00 PRCM THE StbEWArIC C.O. EONb
PUNb POR PRELIMINARY EXPENSE.
WHEREAS, there is no existing sidewalk on S.W. 8
Avenue (East Side between S.W. 10 Street and S.W. 11 Street),
and
WHEREAS, petitions have been received from the property
owners on S.W. 8 Avenue — East side of Avenue - to construct
a new sidewalk; and
WHEREAS, a sidewalk is needed on S.W. 8 Avenue for
pedestrian safety as the street has heavy vehicular traffic;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1`. A local improvement described as S.W. 8
AVENUE SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENT SK-4387 shall be made under
Section 56 of the Charter of the City of Miami as amended
located on the following street:
S.W. 8 Avenue - East side only (S.W. 10 Street to S.W. 11
St.)
All in the City of Miami.
Section 2. This Improvement shall include clearing
and grading, construction of concrete sidewalk, a minimum
of 5' wide as specified and described in the standard City
of Miami Specifications for Public Works Projects.
Section 3 This Improvement shall be designated in

Section 4. The sum of $500.00 from the Sidewalk 0, d.
Bond Fund for Preliminary Expense is hereby allocated.

Plazas and specifications are being prepared to construct
approximately 300 lineal feet of sidewalk on G.W. 8 Avenue
(East side only) between 10 and 11 Street
The, improvement shall include clearing and grading and
construction of 4" thick concrete sidewalk (6" thick at
driveways). The approximate cost of this improvement is
estimated to be $2,000.00 and funds, are available from
the Sidewalk G.O.Bond Fund.
THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS RECOMMENDS THE ADOPTION OF
THE ATTACHED RESOLUTION ORDERING S.W. 8 AVENUE SIDEWALK
DISTRICT SK 4387 AND ALLOCATING $500.00 FROM THE SIDEWALK
G.O. BOND FUND FOR PRELIMINARY EXPENSE.
