A Resolution Urging School Community Concern and
the Importance of Sufficient Funding for the
Community Educational System by the Florida Legislature.
.:o Parents, students, teachers and administrators
unity are alarmed by the parsimonious approach to the
sufficient funding by the State Legislature to maintain
educational levels for the current curriculum, and
WHEREAS the total community is disturbed by this threat of a
budget insufficient to the needs of a balanced scholastic program
for this area's most valuable asset, its youth, and
WHEREAS public instruction, at this time, is engaged in a
tremendous challenge for its survival as a viable instrument for the
education of our children, and
WHEREAS it is imperative that the residents of this community
unite' in action for the preservation of funding sufficient to ensure
the continuation of a meaningful school system,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF NIAMI, FLORIDA:
