City Manager
eAnalysis
Proposals have been received from five firms for providing a
scoreboard facility for the Orange Bowl Stadium. These firms
specialize in the installation and operation of stadium scoreboards.
These proposals have been analyzed, and staff members have met
with representatives from each supplier to discuss their proposal
in detail. The four major users of the Orange Bol.v1 were invited to
participate in this review process. For your information, attached
is a comparative analysis of the proposals received. This analysis
gives basic information as to size, versatility, operation and financing
of the scoreboards proposed.
It is recommended that at the April 10 Commission meeting the City
Manager be authorized to negotiate an agreement, in order of prefer-
ence, with
1. American Information Corp. /Stewart -Warner
for providing scoreboard facilities for the Orange Bowl Stadium.
During the process of negotiating the agreement, the City Commission
and the major users of the Orange Bowl Stadium would be kept informed
of the progress being made.
