A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE ELECTION OF
CHARLES SALERNO AS SECOND REPRESENTATIVE
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI POLICEMEN AND
JOHN J. BERTZEL AS SECOND REPRESENTATIVE
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI FIREMEN TO THE RETIRE-
MENT BOARD OF THE MIAMI CITY EMPLOYEES'
RETIREMENT SYSTEM, FOR A TERM TO EXPIRE
ON DECEMBER 31, 1976.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami; the Fraternal Order of
Police; and the International Association of Firefighters,
AFL-CIO Local No. 587, entered into labor agreements which
provide for election of members to the Retirement Board of
the Miami City Employees Retirement System; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with said agreements, the
City of Miami Police and the City of Miami Firemen have
elected their respective members to said board; and
WHEREAS, the president of the Fraternal Order of
Police and the president of the International Association
of Firefighters, AFL-CIO, Local No. 587,have communicated
results of said election to the city manager of the City
of Miami; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission desires to confirm
the results of said election;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the election of Charles Salerno
as the second representative of the City of Miami Police-
men and John J. Bertze1 as second representative of the
City of Miami Firemen to the Retirement Board of the Miami
