A RESOLUTION ACCgPITMG THE BID OF BISCAYNE
CONSTRUCTION, INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF
$3640887,00 FOR THE ORANGE BOWL STRUCTURAL
REPAIRS (PHASE I) - 1975; AND AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT
THEREFOR,
T•TIJEREAS , sealed bids were received on April 21, 1975
for the ORANG i3O'1L STRUCTURAL REPAIRS - PHASE I - 1975; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager reports that the $364, 877. 00
bid of Biscayne Construction, Inc. is the lowest acceptable bid
and recommends that a contract he awarded to said firm; and
?^fl-IEi?EAS, funds were presiously allocated for this project
on February 27, 1975 by Resolution No. 75-220 from Capital Improv e-
ment Fund - Unallocated Funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CO`LiISSIOII ')F TIIL
CITY OF '1I AMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the April 21, 1975 bid of Biscayne
Construction, Inc. in the amount of $364,877.00 for the project
entitled ORANGE BOWL - STRUCTURAL REPAIRS (PHASE I) - 1975, namely
Base Bid of Proposal, based on unit prices, be, and the same is
hereby, accepted at the price stated therein.
Section 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby,
authorized to enter into a contract on behalf of the City of 4iami
with Biscayne Construction, Inc. for the ORANGE BOWL - STRUCTURAL
REPAIRS (PHASE I) - 1975.

'i'he City of Miami, Florida, not later than 2 t 00 P.M. E. D. S.T. , on
the 21st day of April, 1975, in the City Clerkts'Office, First
Floor of the Miami City Hail, 3500 Pan American Drive, Dinner Key,
Miami, Florida 33133 at which time and place they will be publicly
opened and road.
The job consists of structural repairs at the Miami Orange
Bowl Stadium, including reinforcement of certain structural steel
members, removal and replacement of 36 vomitories, removal and re-
placement of certain concrete joist and concrete slab units,
removal and replacement of certain steel columns and cleaning,
sandblasting and painting certain structural members.
All bids shall be submitted in accordance with the Instruc-
tions to Bidder;-, and Specifications. Plans and Specifications may
be obtained from the Office of the Director, Department of Public
Works, 3332 Pan American Drive, Miami, Florida. Plans and Specif-
ications are to be returned in good order and unmarked within 30
days after Bids have been received.
Proposal includes the time of performance and Specifications
contain provisions for liquidated damages for failure to complete
the work on time..
The City Commission reserves the right to waive any infor-
mality in any bid, and the City Manager may reject any or all bids,
and re -advertise.
