A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR AND
RECEIVE PROPOSALS FOR PROFESSIONAL
DESIGN SERVICE FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF
FT. DALLAS PARR.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed
to advertise for and receive proposals for professional design service for
the development of Ft. Dallas Park.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 22 day of APRIL , 1975.

Professional Services for
Ft. Dallas Park Design
As a Parks for People bond project, funds were programmed for the
acquisition and development of a park in downtown Miami abutting the
Miami Riverside Walkway. This area, immediately west of the new
Y. W. C.A. tower, has been identified as Ft. Dallas Park.
The City has already obtained half of the property and is in the process
of acquiring the balance. To save time and expedite the completion of
this park once the entire site is assembled, it is requested that authority
be given to obtain professional services at this time for the park design.
These outside professional consulting services would be limited to the
design, but the actual execution of contract plans and specifications would
be accomplished by the Department of Public Works. The agreement with
the consultant selected would not he executed until the City is ready to
proceed with the development of the park.
It is recommended the City Commission adopt the attached resolution
authorizing and directing the City Manager to advertise and receive pro-
posals for professional design service for the development of Ft. Dallas
Park.
