RESOLUTION NO..75-377__
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE
OF THAT CERTAIN PIECE OF PROPERTY
LOCATED AT 1421 N. W. 61ST STREET,
LEGALLY DESCRIBED AS LOT 29, BLOCK 10,
ORANGE HEIGHTS (14-62) FOR THE SUM
OF $17,500; AND AUTHORIZING THE
FINANCE DIRECTOR TO PAY THE NECESSARY
SUMS FROM THE FEDERAL REVENUE SHARING
FUNDS WHICH HAVE BEEN APPROPRIATED
FOR SAID PURPOSE.
WHEREAS, the property located at 1421 N. W. 61st
Street, legally described as Lot 29, Block 10, ORANGE HEIGHTS
(14-62) is owned by the MLK Realty Corporation, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, the MLK Realty Corporation, Inc. has agreed
to sell said property for $17,500; and
WHEREAS, the City of Miami finds that the property as
hereinabove described is necessary for the African Square Park
and further finds that funds are available for this purchase;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The proper officials of the City of Miami
are hereby authorized and directed to purchase that certain
piece of property located at 1421 N. W. 61st Street, legally
described as Lot 29, Block 10, ORANGE HEIGHTS (14-62) for the
sum of $17,500.
Section 2. The Finance Director is hereby directed
to pay the necessary sums from the Federal Revenue Sharing
