IN T E -Of F!C:A>WOUM Honorable Members of The City Commission / e P. W Andrews City Manager. APR 1 7 1075 American Legion Use of Mvlialni Baseball Stadium Agenda Item 39 The American Legion has requested free use of the Miami Baseball Stadium for May 19, 20 and 21, 1975., for their American Legion Base- ball Scholarship Tournament. This is the 50th Anniversary of American Legion Baseball, and they have also requested a waiver of insurance charges. The City Administration recommends granting the use of the Stadium at a reduced rate to the American Legion for these events, hut the rate should be based on the same conditions granted at the April 10, 1975 Meeting for Winter Baseball Games scheduled by FABIM. The charges were based on payment of custodial services, $15.00 per game; elec- tricity of $25.90 for a single day game, twice that for double headers day game or $45. 00 per hour for a night event. The American Legion would be e:.pzc.tecl to provide their own insurance, acceptable to the City, for these events. Ilowever, the City would waive the stadium rental fee. The City Administration recommends granting the use of the Stadium to the American Legion for May 19, 20 and 21, 1975, based on the rates outlined above. cc: Honorable Maurice A.
