HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-75-0322RESOLUTION NO, 75-322 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF A PERMIT TO GESU CHURCH AND SCHOOL FOR AMUSEMENT RIDES ON THE GROUNDS OF THE CHURCH AND SCHOOL LOCATED AT 118 N. E, 2ND STREET ON MAY 3RD AND 4TH, 1975) SUBJECT TO CERTAIN TERMS AND CON- DITIONS, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. That a permit be, and it is hereby, authorized to be issued to GESU CHURCH AND SCHOOL for amusement rides on the church and school grounds located at 118 Northeast 2nd Street on May 3, and 4, 1975, subject to the following terms and conditions: 1. Such use shall not be established for a period exceeding seven days, nor shall any one location be used more often than once a year. 2. The operators of the amusement rides shall obtain the necessary licenses, permits and Certificates of Use. 3. Small tents shall be permitted only to carry on ride activities. 4, The operators of the amusement rides will provide separate sanitary facilities for both male and female patrons. 5. The operators and employees of the rides will not domicile on the property. 6. No alcoholic beverages may be sold on the premises, 7. The City of Miami Police Department will be contacted and the number of off -duty policemen that the Depart- ment feels are necessary to direct traffic and provide for security will be employed by the permit holder. The application for a carnival to be held at Gesu Church and School, May 3rd through 4th, 1975, has been received and it complies with the provisions outlined in Ordinance #7267. The sponsor's representative, Fr. A. Quevedo, S. J., has been informed of the requirement for approval by the City's Police Traffic Section and are applying for screening and approval for crowd control. Assurance has been given that adequate sanitary facilities are available and that no sleeping facilities will be maintained or utilized at the carnival site. Father Alfredo Qu`vedo, will be handling the details of the Tombola to be held on May 3 a d 4 on the grounds of Cesu Church and School. The Tombola will consist o1 bootie, food, games, rides, chances, prizes, etc. associated with a Tombola (Carnival) . .a.
