A RESOLUTION APPROVING A ONE (1) YEAR EXTEN-
SION OF EMPLOYMENT PAST THE AGE OF SEVENTY-ONE
FOR HARRY PEARLMAN, WATCHMAN, PUBLIC FACILITIES
DEPARTMENT, EFFECTIVE ON HIS BIRTH DATE,
MAY 28, 1975 THROUGH MAY 28, 1976, WITH THE
PROVISION THAT IN THE EVENT OF A ROLLBACK OR
LAYOFF, MR. PEARLMAN, RATHER THAN A JUNIOR
EMPLOYEE, WOULD BE AFFECTED.
WHEREAS, the Executive Secretary, Civil Service Board,
on March 18, 1975, has unanimously recommended the approval of
employment past the age of seventy-one (71) for HARRY PEARLMAN,
Watchman, Public Facilities Department; and
WHEREAS, the City Physician has determined that the
physical condition of said HARRY PEARLMAN is satisfactory for
continued employment;
NOW; THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. A one (1) year extension of employment
past the age of seventy-one (71) be, and is hereby granted for
HARRY PEARLMAN, effective on his birth date, May 28, 1975
through May 28, 1976, with the provision that in the event of
a rollback or layoff, Mr. Pearlman, rather than a junior
employee, would be affected.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 10 day of APRIL , 1975.

At its meeting df March 18, 1975, the Civil Service Board considered the
request of harry Pearlman, Watchman, Public Facilities Department, for an
extension of employment for a period of one year, to be effective May 28,
1975 through May 28, 1976.
The board noted that Mr. R. L. Jennings, Director, Public Facilities Department,
;,•.s recommended approval of this request, and that Dr. L.A. Totu, City Physician,
has found Mr. Pearlman physically qualified to continue his employment for the
auuii oval year.
'i;:e uo„rd voted unanimously to approve the request, with the provision that in
t;ie event of a rollback or layoff, Mr. Pearlman, rather than a junior employee,
would be affected, noting this is in accordance with the Board's past policy.

Mr. Harry Pearlman, who is classified as Watchman
at the Orange Bowl, has requested continuation of
active service beyond his 71st birthday, May 28,
1975.
In accordance with Rule II, Section 4 of the Civil
Service Rules and Regulations of the City of Miami,
Florida it is hereby recommended that Mr. Pearlman
be retained on active service. During his years of
service with this department, Mr. Pearlman has per-
formed his duties intelligently, faithfully and
energetically.
