Iiarper of American Design and Development Corp. of Miami has requested that the Variance granted by Resolution Z13 165-74, on November. 4, 1974, to permit a marina subject to certain conditions, be extended beyond its normal expiration date of May 4, 1975. The Comprehensive Zoning Ordiance, #6871, ART. XXXII, permits the City Manager to extend the effective period of a Conditional Use beyond its expiration date up to one year, subject to the approval of the City Commission. :: is therefore suggested that this item be placed on the City Commission agenda of April 10, 1975, for such approval. • AMERICAN DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT CORP 01 W1Ati1 1901 BRICKELL AVENUE • MIAMI, FLORIDA 33129 (305) 856-2600 CHARLES K.CHEE2EM pRE51DENT January 20, 1975 Mr, P.W. Andrews City Manager City of Miami P.O. Box 330708 Miami, Florida 33133 Dear Mr. Andrews: • Resolution ZB 165-74 granted us a conditional use variance by the City of Miami Zoning Board on November 4, 1974. This variance expires on May 4, 1975. I realize this is an extremely early date to request an extension, however, I want to explain to you the extreme difficulty and amount of time required in order to obtain local, state and federal permits to construct a marina. We already anticipate that the time required to obtain the approval from all levels of authority will be more than nine to twelve months. Therefore, we would greatly appreciate your consideration of an extension for us. We hope you will consider the problems as they now exist with regard to an extension of the May 4, 1975, expiration date. Thank you for your cooperation. Sincerely, AMERICAN DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT CORP. OF MINI Allen C. Harper 5, ;t Executive Vice President ACH:bl cc: Mr. Walter J. Mucher Mr. Henry Fickel Enclosure
