RESOLUTION NO. 75-280
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID RECEIVED
FROM WATSON TREE SERVICE FOR THE CUTTING
AND HAULING OF APPROXIMATELY THREE
THOUSAND (3,000) COCONUT PALM TREES AT
A COST OF $27,000.00; FUNDS BEING PRO-
VIDED FOR THIS PURPOSE UNDER FEDERAL
REVENUE SHARING.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Public Notice, sealed bids
were received February 24, 1975 for the cutting and hauling
of approximately three thousand (3,000) coconut palm trees
for the Parks and Recreation Department; and
WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to fifty-five (55)
potential suppliers and ten (10) bids were received; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends that the bid
of WATSON TREE SERVICE be accepted as the most advantageous
bid received by the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA;
Section 1. The bid received from WATSON TREE
SERVICE for the cutting and hauling of approximately three
thousand (3,000) coconut palm trees at a cost of $27,000.00
be, and is hereby, accepted; funds being provided for this
purpose under Federal Revenue Sharing.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 25day of
1975.

The contrdct is for furnishing equipment, labor and mat-
erials for the removal of dead or diseased coconut palno
trees affected with the condition of "lethal yei i owi pg"
and the hauling of debris therefrom.
The source of funds is Federal Revenue Sharinn.
It is recommended that the award be made to '?atson Tree
Service for the cutting and hauling, of approximately
three thousand (3,000) coconut palm trees at a cost of
$27 ,000.00. Wort: will be done on as needed basis.
The Parks and Recreation Department concurs with this
recommendation.
