RESOLUTION NO. 75--278
A RESOLUTION APPOINTING MRS. CATHERINE
HODIVSKY AND MRS. CILE SAUVIGNE TO THE
INTERNATIONAL FOLK FESTIVAL COMMITTEE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The following individuals be, and they
are hereby, appointed to the INTERNATIONAL FOLK FESTIVAL
COMMITTEE:

It is my pleasure to inform you that the City of Miami International
Folk
Folk Festival Committee has unanimously nominated for membership on
th Committee, subject to appointment by the Miami City Comission
the following persons, both of whom have been actively involved with
the Festival in the past'

The Committee also adopted a unanimous resolution requesting that
its membership be limited in the future to 33 members (it will have
3/ members including the Chairman if the two nominees above are
appointed.)
The feeling of the members is that the Committee is now well balanc-
ed with many nationalities and all races represented.
Many of our members are presidents of the nationality organizations
they represent► They agree unanimously that they now have a smooth
working group but feel that any more members would snake the Coma
mittee unwieldy.
We therefore respectfully request that the Commission snakes it a
policy not to appoint any new members until there are Vacancies by
natural attrition on the Folk Festival Committee.
