A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE CITY ATTORNEY TO RETAIN THE LAW
FIRM OF PETTIGREW AND BAILEY, MIAMI,
FLORIDA TO CONDUCT RESEARCH OF THE LEGAL
HISTORY AND TITLE OF THE BALLPOINT
PROPERTY; TO RENDER SUCH REPORTS AND
RECOMMENDATIONS TO THE CITY ATTORNEY
FOR TRANSMISSION TO THE CITY COMMISSION
AS THE CITY ATTORNEY MAY DEEM APPROPRI-
ATE; PROVIDING FOR A FEE TO BE PAID AT
THE RATE OF $75.00 AN HOUR UP TO A MAXI-
MUM OF $11,250.00; ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM
THE PARKS FOR PEOPLE BOND FUND FOR THE
PAYMENT OF SAID FEE
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Miami,
by Motion 75-129, has authorized the City Attorney to retain
the Lev. Firm of Pettigrew and Bailey, Miami, Florida;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The Law Firm of Pettigrew and Bailey,
Miami, Florida be retained by the City of Miami to conduct
such research of the legal history and title of Ballpoint
Property as may be necessary to determine whether further
legal proceedings to secure title to the property should be
initiated; to render such reports and recommendations to the
City Attorney for transmission to the City Commission as
the City Attorney may deem appropriate.
Section 2. The City Attorney and other appropriate
officials of the City of Miami are authorized to enter into
a Contract with the firm of Pettigrew and Bailey; providing
for a fee to be paid at the rate of $75.00 an hour up to a
maximum of $11,250.00.

Section 3. The funds necessary to pay said fee
are authorized to be expended from the Parks for People
Bond Fund.
