EQUIPMENT REPLACEMENT AND NEW AND ADDITIONAL
VEHICLES = PHASE 1, FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC
PROPERTIES, IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF $416,951,83,
TO THE LOWEST RESPONSIVE BIDDERS AS FOLLOWS:

WHEREAS, sealed bids were received on January 27, 1975
for the Heavy Equipment Replacement and New and Additional Vehicles
for the Department of Public Properties; and
WHEREAS, invitations were supplied to thirty-one bidders
and eighty-seven bids were received; and
WHEREAS, the following companies were the lowest
responsive bids and the City Manager recommends that awards be
made:

Section 1. The aforesaid companies be, and are
hereby, awarded bids in the specified amounts for heavy equip-
ment for use by the Department of Public Properties.
Section 2. The City Manager be, and he is hereby,
authorized and directed to instruct the Purchasing Department
to issue Purchase Orders for this equipment from funds allocated
for this purpose as follows: $384,996.23 Regular Replacement
Reserve Fund; $31,955.60 Federal Revenue Sharing Funds.
