RESOLUTION NO.._„'2�__.,
A RESOLUTION APPROVING A ONE (1) YEAR
EXTENSION OF EMPLOYMENT PAST THE AGE OF
SEVENTYA-ONE (71) FOR JUAN PEREZ, CUSTOM
DIAN FOREMAN, DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC
FACILITIES, EFFECTIVE ON HIS BIRTH DATE,
MARCH 8, 1975 THROUGH MARCH 8, 1976,
WITH THE PROVISION THAT IN THE EVENT OF
A ROLLBACK OR LAYOFF, MR. PEREZ, RATHER
THAN A JUNIOR EMPLOYEE, WOULD BE AFFECTED.
WHEREAS, the Executive Secretary and the Civil Service
Board at the meeting of February 18, 1975 unanimously recom-
mended the approval of employment past the age of seventy-one
(71) for JUAN PEREZ, Custodian Foreman, Department of Public
Facilities; and
WHEREAS, the City Physician has determined that
the physical condition of said JUAN PEREZ is satisfactory
for continued employment;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION
'OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. A one (1) year extension of employment
past the age of seventy-one (71) be, and is hereby, granted
for JUAN PEREZ, Custodian Foreman, Department of Public
Facilities, effective on his birth date, March 8, 1975, with
the provision that in the event of a rollback or layoff,
Mr. Perez, rather than a junior employee, would be affected.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 12 day of MARCH , 1975.

At its neetiag of February 13, t973, the Civil Service Board considered the
request of Juan Perez, Custodian Forerun, Public Facilities Department, for
an extension of employment fora period of one year, to he effective March 8,
1975 through March 4, 1976.
The Board noted that Mr. R. L. Jennie s, Director, Public Facilities Department,
has recommended approval of this request, and tea: )r. L. A. Toto, City Physician,
has found ',•(r. Perez physically qualified to continue employment for the additional
year.
The Board voted unanimously to approve th.a request, the provision that in

Mr. Juan Perez, who is classified as Custodian Foreman
with this department, has reouested continuation of
active service beyond his 71st birthday, March 8, 1975.
In accordance with Rule II, Section 4 of the Civil
Service Rules and Regulations of the City of Miami,
Florida, it is hereby recommended that Mr. Perez be
retained on active service. During his years of service
with this department, Mr. Perez has performed his duties
intelligently, faithfully and energetically.
