IN THE AMOUNT OF $8,394.00 FOR THE FIRE STATION NO. 9 BATHROOM ADDITION 1975; ALLOCATING THE AMOUNT OF $8,394.00 FROM THE ACCOUNT ENTITLED "FIRE FIGHTING & RESCUE FACILITIES BOND FUND" TO COVER THE CONTRACT COST; ALLOCATING FROM SAID ACCOUNT THE AMOUNT OF $839,40 TO COVER THE COST OF PROJECT EXPENSE; ALLOCATING FROM SAID ACCOUNT THE AMOUNT OF $167.60 TO COVER THE COST OF ADVERTISING, TEST- ING LABORATORIES AND POSTAGE; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH SAID FIRM. WHEREAS, sealed bids were received on February 7, 1975 for the FIRE STATION NO. 9 - BATHROOM ADDITION - 1975; and WHEREAS, the City Manager reports that the $8,394.00 bid of 0vidio P. Rodriguez, Jr. is the lowest acceptable bid and recommends that a Contract be awarded to said firm; and WHEREAS, funds are available for allocation from the account entitled "Fire Fighting & Rescue Facilities Bond Fund" for the amount of the Contract, for project expense, and for such items as advertising, testing laboratories and postage; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The February 7, 1975 bid of OVIDIO P. RODRIGUEZ, JR. in the amount of $8,394.00 for the project entitled FIRE STATION NO. 9 - BATHROOM ADDITION - 1975, namely Base Bid of Proposal, based on lump sum bid be, and the same is hereby, accepted at the "DOCUMENT INDEX p price stated therein. ITEM NO._. .-' Section 2. The amount of $8,394.00 be, and it is hereby, allocated from the account entitled "Fire Fighting & Rescue Facilities Bond Fund" to cover the cost of the Contract. The project consists of enclosing an existing hall and porch area to provide an additional bathroom at the Fire Station. All bids shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and Specifications. Plans and Specifications may be obtained from the Office of the Director, Department of Public Works, 3332 Pan American Drive, Miami, Florida. plans and Specifications are to be returned in good condition and unmarked within 30 days after bids have been received. Proposal includes the time of performance and Specifi- cations contain provisions for liquidated damages for failure to complete the work on time.
