FOR FURNISH, ING NYLON SCREENING FOR TRUCK COVERS FOR USE BY THE SANITATION DEPARTMENT AT A TOTAL COST OF $7,232.40; AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO INSTRUCT THE PURCHASING DEPARTMENT TO ISSUE A PURCHASE ORDER FOR THIS MATERIAL FROM FUNDS PROVIDED FOR THIS PURPOSE IN THE 1974-75 FISCAL YEAR BUDGET. WHEREAS, pursuant to Public Notice, sealed bids were received January 13, 1975 for furnishing 9 ounce nylon screen- ing for truck covers for use by the Sanitation Department; and WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to eleven (11) potential suppliers and three (3) bids were received; and WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends that the bid of Dade Canvas Products Co. be accepted at a total cost of $7,232.40 since it was the most advantageous bid to the City; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The bid received from Dade Canvas Products Co. for furnishing nylon screening for truck covers be, and is hereby, accepted at a total cost of $7,232.40 as follows: Dade Canvas Products Co. Funding for this purchase has been provided for in the 1974-1975 budget. It is recommended that the award be made to Dade Canvas Products Co. for furnishing nylon screening for truck covers at a cost of $7,232.40. The Department of Sanitation concurs with this recommendation.
