Please place the name of Virginia Essex, Chairperson of
the City of Miami Commission on the Status of Women, on
the agenda for the meeting of the Miami City Commission
to be held February 12, 1975.
At that time, the Commissioners will appoint 5 members
to the Commission on the Status of Women, in order to
fill existing vacancies. Please place this on the agenda.
Ms. Essex has also requested a few minutes to discuss
the possibility of additional financing to allow some
of the members of the Status of Women Commission to attend
a Seminar in Gainesville. Any additional funds granted
would help defray the expense of the members travel to
and from Gainesville, Florida for the Seminar on Women In
Management to be held in February, 1975.
