WHEREAS, the Miami City Employees' Retirement System
(Ordinance No. 2230, December 6, 1939, as amended) was not included
as a portion of the new Code of the City of Miami, Florida, ef-
fective September 1, 1957, as adopted by Ordinance No. 7585
(July 25, 1967); and
WHEREAS, said system now exists in the codified form
as it appears in Chapter 2 of the Code of the City of Miami,
Florida, 1957, as amended, in addition to basic ordinance form;
and
WHEREAS, any or amendment to said system can
thus be made by reference to the section designations as they
appear in said Chapter 2 of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida,
1957, as amended; and
WHEREAS, the. City of Miami has entered into agreements
with the International Association of Firefighters, AFL-CIO,

Section 1. The Miami City Employees' Retireittent
System (Ordinance No. 2230, December 6, 1939, as amended) as
said ordinance, as amended, appears in codified form, as part

to Subsection 6 of Section 96. of said Chapter 2, which shall
provide as follows:
6(h) When, in the opinion of the Board of Trustees,
the trust is subject to financial loss
due to the possibility of criminal or
fraudulent acts of any person or fi

a fidelity bond to be posted in an amount
sufficient to protect the interest of
the trust.
Section 2.' All ordinances, code sections or parts,
thereof in conflict herewith, insofar as they are in conflict,
are hereby repealed.
Section 3. If any section, sentence, clause, phrase
or word of this ordinance is for any reason held or declared
to be unconstitutional, inoperative or void such holding or
invalidity shall not affect the remaining portions of this
ordinance; and it shall be 'construed to have been the intent
of the Com'nission of the City of Miami to pass this ordinance
without such unconstitutional, invalid= inoperative part therein;

Section 1. The Miami Ci Employees' Retirement

said ordinance, as amended, appears in codified form, as part

WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City of Miami City
Commission to implement the provisions of the subject agteements,
NOW, THEREFORE, at IT. ORDAINED 13Y THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY. OE MIti4I, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The Miami City Employees Retirement
System (Ordinance No. 2230, December 6, 1939, as amended) as
said ordinance, as amended, appears in codified form, as part

of Chapter 2 of the Code of the City of Miami,
amended, is hereby amended by adding an additional Section (h)
to - Subsection 6 of Section 96 of said Chapter 2, which shall
provide as' follows:
_6(h) When, in the opinion of the'Board of Trustees,
the trust is subject to financial loss
due to the possibility of criminal. or
fraudulent acts' of any person or firm,
then the Board of Trustees shall require
a fidelity bond to be posted in an amount
sufficient to. protect the interest of
the trust.
Section 2. All ordinances, code sections or parts
thereof in conflict herewith, insofar as they are in- conflict,
'are hereby repealed.
Section 3. If any 'section, sentence, clause, phrase
or word of this ordinance is for any reason held 'or declared
to be unconstitutional, inoperative or void such holding or
.invalidity shall not affect the remaining portions of this
,ordinancev and it shall be construed to have been the intent
of the Commission o#:.the City of Miami to pass this ordinance
without s1.4. unconstitutional,. invalid or inoperative party therein;
