RESOLUTION NO. 75-150
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BIDS RECEIVED
FOR FURNISHING HEAVY EQUIPMENT FOR USE
BY THE SANITATION DEPARTMENT FROM GROWERS
FORD TRACTOR CO. IN THE AMOUNT OF
$4,550.00 AND SHELLEY TRACTOR & EQUIPMENT
CO. IN THE AMOUNT OF $11,740.64, TOTALING
$16,290.64; AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE
CITY MANAGER TO INSTRUCT THE PURCHASING
DEPARTMENT TO ISSUE PURCHASE ORDERS FOR
THIS EQUIPMENT FROM FUNDS AVAILABLE IN
THE GARAGE REPLACEMENT RESERVE, 1974-75
FISCAL BUDGET.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Public Notice, sealed bids
were received January 27, 1975 for furnishing heavy
equipment for use by the Sanitation Department; and
WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to thirty-three
(33) potential suppliers and one (1) bid was received; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends that the
bidsreceived from Growers Ford Tractor Co. in the amount of
$4,550.00 and Shelley Tractor & Equipment Co. in the amount
of $11,740.64, totaling $16,290.64,be accepted as the most
advantageous bids to the City;
NOW,, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The bids received from Growers Ford
Tractor Co. and Shelley Tractor & Equipment Co. be, and they
are hereby, accepted as follows:

Section 2. The City Manager be, and he is hereby,
authorized and directed to instruct the Purchasing Department
to issue Purchase Orders for this equipment from funds
available in the Garage Replacement Reserve, 1974-75 Fiscal
Budget.

Pursuant to Public Notice, sealers bids were
received January 27, 1975 for furnishinn
Phase t, ileavy Equipment covering eighteen
(18) items for the Garage Division of Public
Properties.
Invitations were mailed to thirty-three (33)
potential suppliers and one (1) bid was re-
ceived for items seventeen (17) and eighteen
(18) which are being purchased from: this bid
at this time as per the tablulation attached.
These items are the materials necessary to
promulgate the "crane re -building program"
(for the Sanitation Department) now underway.
Without these materials, unnecessary delays
will occur.
Funds are available in the Garage Replace-
ment Reserve, 1974-1975 Fiscal Budget.
It is recommended that the award he made to
Growers Ford Tractor Co. for item eighteen
(18) in the amount of $4,550.00 and Shelle"
Tractor & Equipment Co. for iter seventeen
(17) in the amount of $11,740.60, at a total
cost of $1G,290.64.
The Department of Public Properties concur
with this recommendation.
