IN THE AMOUNT OF $37,408.00 FOR WAINWRIGHT PARK IMPROVEMENT'S = 1975; ALLOCATING THE AMOUNT OF $37,408.00 FROM THE ACCOUNT ENTITLED "PUBLIC PARKS & RE- CREATIONAL FACILITIES BOND FUND" TO COVER THE CONTRACT COST; ALLOCATING FROM SAID ACCOUNT THE AMOUNT OF $3,740.80 TO COVER THE COST OF PROJECT EXPENSE; ALLOCATING FROM SAID ACCOUNT THE AMOUNT OF $748.20 TO COVER THE COST OF ADVERTISING, TESTING LABORATORIES AND POSTAGE; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH SAID FIRM. WHEREAS, sealed bids were received January 24, 1975 for WAINWRIGHT PARK IMPROVEMENTS - 1975; and WHEREAS, the City Manager reports that the $37,408.00 bid of Deconco, Inc. is the lowest responsive bid and recommends that a Contract be awarded to said firm; and WHEREAS, funds are available for allocation from the account entitled "Public Parks & Recreational Facilities Bond Fund" for the amount of the Contract, for project expense; and for such items as advertising, testing laboratories and postage; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The January 24, 1975 bid of Deconco, Inc. in the amount of $37,408.00 for the project entitled WAINWRIGHT PARK IMPROVEMENTS - 1975, namely Base Bid of Proposal, based on lump sum bid be, and the same is hereby, accepted at the price stated therein. 1 ITEM NO..._ ;-' Section 2. The amount of $37,408.00 be, and it is hereby, allocated from the account entitled "Public Parks & Recreational Facilities Bond Fund" to cover the cost of the Contract. Section 3. The amount of $3,740.80 be, and it is hereby, allocated from the aforesaid account to cover the cost of project expense which includes engineering, surveys and inspection work performed by City Forces. Section 4. The amount of $748.20 be, and it is hereby, allocated from the aforesaid account to cover the cost of advertising, testing laboratories and postage. Section 5. The City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to enter into a Contract on behalf of the City of Miami with Deconco, Inc., for the WAINWRIGHT PARK IMPROVE- MENTS - 1975. The project consists of renovating an existing building to convert it into a parks facility building. Also included is furnishing and installing approximately 950 feet of 6-ft. high chain link fence. All bids shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and Specifications. Plans and Spec- ifications may be obtained from the Office of the Director, Department of Public Works, 3332 Pan American Drive, Miami, Florida. Plans and specifications are to be returned in good condition and unmarked within 30 days after bids have been received. Proposal includes the time of performance and Specifica- tions contain provisions for liquidated damages for failure to complete the work on time.
