A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING DEEPEST SYMPATHY
AND CONDOLENCES OF THE MAYOR AND COMMIS=-
SIONERS OF THE CITY OF MIAMI AS WELL AS
ALL OF THE CITIZENS AND EMPLOYEES OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI TO THE FAMILY OF THE LATE
CIVIC LEADER, ROBERT M. MORGAN, WHOSE
UNTIMELY PASSING HAS DEPRIVED THIS COM-
MUNITY OF A MOST RESPECTED CITIZEN.
WHEREAS, ROBERT M. MORGAN, born in Winona, Minneso.-
ta, resided in Miami for thirty-seven years, gaining an
honorary degree of doctor of laws bestowed upon him by the
University of Miami for creating the medical school; and
WHEREAS, ROBERT M. MORGAN served as external
auditor for the City of Miami and Metro Commission introducing
productive accounting procedures; and
WHEREAS, ROBERT M. MORGAN was an outstanding,
tireless Civic leader, former chairman of the State Racing
Commission and chief Democratic Party fund raiser in national,
state and local campaigns; and
WHEREAS, ROBERT M. MORGAN became Dade County's state
committee -man, and was appointed by Governor Farris Bryant
to the position of chairman of the State Racing Commission;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The Mayor and Commissioners of the City
of Miami as well as all of the citizens and employees of the
City of Miami, hereby express their deepest sympathy and
condolences to the members
of the
family of the late
