A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE BOARD OF
COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF METROPOLITAN
DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA TO ADOPT AN
EMERGENCY PRIVATE PARKING LOT ORDINANCE
GIVING THE AUTHORITY TO OWNERS, AGENCIES
OR TENANTS TO REMOVE VEHICLES THAT HAVE
BEEN PARKED ON PRIVATE PROPERTY, WITHOUT
THE CONSENT OF THE OWNER, MANAGER OR
TENANT OF SAID PROPERTY, WITH THE COST
OF REMOVAL TO BE ASSUMED BY THE VEHICLE
OWNER; AND FURTHER REQUESTING THE DADE
DELEGATION TO PASS LEGISLATION TO
ALLEVIATE PRIVATE PARKING LOT PROBLEMS.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The Board of County Commissioners of
Metropolitan Dade County, Florida is hereby requested to adopt
an emergency ordinance pertaining to private parking lots, giving
authority to owners, agencies or tenants to remove vehicles that
have been parked on private property,without the consent of the
owner, manager or tenant of said property, with the cost of
removal to be assumed by the vehicle owner.
Section 2. The Dade Delegation is hereby requested to
have appropriate legislation passed to alleviate the problems
facing the aforesaid owners, agencies and tenants.
