RESOLUTION NO. 75 59
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
COMMENCE NEGOTIATIONS WITH O'LEARY=,SHAFER AND
ASSOCIATES, HENDERSON-ROSENBERG AND ASSOCIATES
AND EDWARD D. STONE, JR. AND ASSOCIATES, IN THAT
OF PREFERENCE, FOR THE DESIGN SERVICES REQUIRED
FOR THE 46 WEST FLAGLER MINI PARK,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized
and directed to commence negotiations with O'Leary -Shafer
ORDER
and Associates, Henderson -Rosenberg and Associates and
Edward D. Stone, Jr. and Associates, in that order of preference
for the design services required for the 46 West Flagler
Mini Park.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 9 day of JA1UARY

On October 24., 1974, the -City Commission authorized solicitation
of proposals for design services for a mihi park to be located
at 46 West Flagler. Newspaper advertisements were made and, in
addition, invitations sent to 1.nca1. firms requesting an expression
of their interest and a brochure des,-r_i_bi.ng tith}ir experience and
background. Evaluation of this .information wou) ; he made on the
basis of in-house staff, previous experience and design capability.
The following nine firms responded:
Ted Baker Group
Ray Collins Associates
Dietel and Associates
David Scully
Henderson -Rosenberg and Assoc i_ates
O'Leary -Shafer Associates
Stresau, Smith and Steward
Sanford, Sevel and Cummings
Edward D. Stone, Jr. and A-;sociates
The materialsubmitted by th,l,se firms was reviewd and evaludted
by the Administration and Mr. Lucius Williams, Director or the
Downtown Development Authority arid, based on availability and
capability, the following three firms were selected in order of
preference:
1. O'Leary -Shafer and Associates
2. Henderson -Rosenberg and Associates
3. Edward D. Stone, Jr. and Associates
It is recommended that a resolution he adopted authorizing the
City Man- ger to commence negotiations with O'Leary -Shafer and
Associated; Hender: on-Rorsenberg and Associates; and Edward D.
Stone, Jr. and Associates, in that order of preference, for the
design services required for the 46 West Fiagl.er Mini. Park.
