A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID RECEIVED
FROM SOUTHERN GUN DISTRIBUTORS FOR
FURNISHING POLICE REVOLVERS FOR USE BY
THE DEPARTMENT OF POLICE AT A TOTAL
COST OF $6,614.25; AUTHORIZING AND DIRECT-
ING THE CITY MANAGER TO INSTRUCT THE PUR-
CHASING DEPARTMENT TO ISSUE A PURCHASE
ORDER FOR SEVENTY-FIVE (75) REVOLVERS
FROM FUNDS PROVIDED IN THE 1974-75 FISCAL
YEAR BUDGET,
WHEREAS, pursuant to Public Notice, sealed bids
were received December 6, 1974 for furnishing police revolvers
for use by the Department of Police; and
WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to twenty (20)
potential suppliers and six (6) bids were received; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends that the bid
of Southern Gun Distributors for furnishing 75 police
revolvers be accepted at a total cost of $6,614.25 since it
is the most advantageous bid to the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE C0M tISQNr,.
