A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID RECEIVED
FROM ORKIN EXTERMINATING CO, FOR FURNISH-
ING PEST CONTROL SERVICE FOR CITY BUILDINGS
FOR A PERIOD FROM JANUARY 9, 1975 TO
JANUARY 8, 1976 AT A TOTAL COST OF $4,047,96;
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER
TO INSTRUCT THE PROPER CITY OFFICIALS TO
NEGOTIATE A CONTRACT FOR THIS SERVICE USING
FUNDS PROVIDED IN THE 1974.-75 FISCAL YEAR
BUDGET,
WHEREAS, pursuant to Public Notice, sealed bids
were received November 20, 1974 for furnishing pest control
service for City Buildings for a period from January 9, 1975
to January 8, 1976; and
WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to eleven (11)
potential suppliers and five (5) bids were received; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends that the bid
of ORKIN EXTERMINATING CO. is the most advantageous bid to
the City for furnishing pest control service, and should be
accepted at a total cost of $4,047.96; /

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The bid received from ORKIN EXTERMIN-
ATING CO. for furnishing pest control service for City Buildings
for a period from January 9, 1975 to January 8, 1976 at a
total cost of $4,047.96 be, and is hereby, accepted.
Section 2. The City Manager be, and he is hereby,
authorized and directed to instruct the proper City Officials
to negotiate a Contract for this service with ORKIN EXTERMIN-
ATING CO. using funds provided in the 1974-75 fiscal year

Pursuant to Public Notice, sealed bids were received November 20,11
1974 for furnishing Pest Control Service, Citywide, for a period
from January 9, 1975 to January 8, 1976.
Invitations were mailed to eleven (11) potential suppliers and
five (5) bids were received as follows:

Orkin Exterminating Co. $4,047.96
Truly Nolen, Inc. 4,404.00
Floridian Pest Control 5,052.00
Terminix International 6,065.60
Guarantee Exterminating Co. 7, 380.00
This pest control service is an annual contract, servicing City
buildings, per the attached schedule of costs, bylo cation.
Funds are provided in the 1974-75 fiscal year budget.
It is recommended that the award be made to Orkin Exterminating
Co. for furnishing Pest Control Service, Citywide, for a period
from January 9, 1975 to January 8, 1976, at an annual cost of
$4,047.96.
The Department of Public Properties concurs with this recommendation.
