A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID RECEIVED
FROM H H. HANSEN & ASSOCIATES FOR
FURNISHING TWENTY (20) FIBERGLASS DOCK
BOXES, 2' x 2' x 4' FOR USE BY THE YACHT
DOCKS DIVISION OF THE DEPARTMENT OF
PUBLIC FACILITIES, AT A COST OF $1,996.20;
AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTIL'G THE CITY
MANAGER TO INSTRUCT THE PURCHASING DEPART-
MENT TO ISSUE A PURCHASE ORDER FOR THIS
PURCHASE FROM FUNDS PROVIDED IN THE
1974-75 FISCAL YEAR BUDGET.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Public Notice, sealed bids were
received December 9, 1974 for furnishing twenty (20) fiber-
glass dock boxes, 2' x 2' x 4' for use by the Yacht Docks
Division of the Department of Public Facilities; and
WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to twelve (12)
potential suppliers and five (5) bids were received; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended that
the bid from H. H. Hansen & Associates be accepted at a total
cost of $1,996.20 since it was the most advantageous bid to
the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION

Section 1. The bid received from H. H. HANSEN &
ASSOCIATES for furnishing twenty (20) fiberglass dock boxes,
2' x 2' x 4' for use by the Yacht Docks Division of the
Department of Public Facilities be, and is hereby, accepted
at a cost of $1,996.20.
Section 2. The City Manager be, and is hereby,
authorized and directed to instruct the Purchasing Department

Pursuant to Public Notice, sealed bids were received December
9, 1974 for furnishing Twenty (20) fiberglass dock boxes,
2' x 2' x 4' for use by the Yacht Docks Division of the De-
partment of Public Facilities.
Invitations were mailed to twelve (12) potential suppliers
and five (5) bids were received per the attached tabulation.
Dock boxes are provided at all Dinner Key Marina berths.
The first fiberglass boxes were purchased in 1965 and have
proven satisfactory as to use and maintenance.
Additional boxes are now needed to replace wooden boxes,
which are deteriorating beyond repair.
Funds to purchase these boxes are provided in the 1974-75
fiscal year budget.
It is recommended that the award be made to H. H. Hansen &
Associates for furnishing twenty (20) fiberglass dock boxes,
2' x 2' x 4' for use by the Yacht Docks Division of the De-
partment of Public Facilities, at a cost of $1,996.20.
The Department of Public Facilities concurs with this
recommendation.
