A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID OF ADVANCED
BUSINESS PRODUCTS FOR FURNISHING TAPE
RECORDERS, A TRANSCRIBER AND ALLIED EQUIP-
MENT, FOR USE BY THE DEPARTMENT OF ADMINIS,.
TRATION, PLANNING AND ZONING BOARDS, AT A
TOTAL COST OF $1,710,42; AND AUTHORIZING
AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO INSTRUCT
THE PURCHASING DEPARTMENT TO ISSUE A PURCHASE
ORDER FOR THIS EQUIPMENT FROM FUNDS PROVIDED
IN THE 1974-75 FISCAL YEAR BUDGET FOR THIS
PURPOSE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Public Notice, sealed bids were
received December 12, 1974 for furnishing tape recorders, a
transcriber and allied equipment, for use by the Department of
Administration, Planning and Zoning Boards; and
WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to nine (9) potential
suppliers and only one (1) bid was received; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended that the
bid of ADVANCED BUSINESS PRODUCTS which is most advantageous
to the city be accepted at a total cost of $1,719.42;
