A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE WAIVING OF
THE RENTAL FEE FOR THE USE OF THE BAYFRONT
PARI{ BANDSHELL ON FEBRUARY 2, 1975, FOR A
MEMORIAL SERVICE BY THE FLORIDA JEWISH WAR
VETERANS OF THE U.S.A., SUBJECT TO ADVANCE
PAYMENT OF A SPECIFIED AMOUNT FOR EVENT
PERSONNEL, LIGHTS, INSURANCE AND OTHER
DIRECT COSTS BORNE BY THE CITY.
WHEREAS, the Florida Jewish War Veterans wish to
present a memorial service commemorating the sinking of the
U.S.S. Dorchester and memorializing the four (4) Chaplains who
were aboard on February 2, 1975;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The rental fee for the use of the Bayfront
Park Bandshell on February 2, 1975, for a Memorial Service by
the Florida Jewish War Veterans of the U.S.A. be, and is here-
by, waived subject to advance payment of a specified amount
for event personnel, lights, insurance and other direct costs
borne by the City.

The Florida Jewish War Veterans of the U. S. A. wish
to present a memorial service commemorating the
sinking of the U. S. S. Dorchester, and memorializing
the loss of the four Chaplains aboard.
This service is to be held at 2:30 P. M. on February
2, 1975, at the Bayfront Park Bandshell.
It is now in order for the City Commission to authorize
a resolution waiving the rental fee only for the I3anclshcll
use, subject to advance payment of an estimated amount
for event personnel, lights, insurance, and other direct
costs borne by the City.
