RESOLUTION NO. 75.30
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF A PERMIT
TO THE MAHI SHRINE TEMPLE TO CONDUCT A CARNIVAL IN
CONJUNCTION WITH ITS ANNUAL CIRCUS TO BE HELD AT
FLAGLER KENNEL CLUB ON FEBRUARY 7 THROUGH 16, 1975,
SUBJECT TO CERTAIN TERMS AND CONDITIONS,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. That a permit be, and is hereby, authorized
to be issued to the Mahi Shrine Temple to conduct a Carnival
in conjunction with its Annual Circus to be held at Flagler
Kennel Club on February 7 through 16, 1975, subject to the

1. Such use shall not be established for a period
exceeding fifteen days, nor shall any one location
be used more than once every ninety (90) days.

2. The operators of the Carnival shall obtain the
necessary licenses, permits and Certificate of
Use.
3. Small tents shall be permitted only to carry on
ride activities.
4. The operators of the amusement rides will provide
separate sanitary facilities for male and female
patrons.
5. The operators and employees of the rides will not
domicile on the property.
6. Alcoholic beverages may not be sold on the premises.
7. The City of Miami Police Department will be contacted
and the number of off -duty policemen that the Depart-
ment feels are necessary to direct traffic and pro-
vide for security will be employed by the permit
holder.

We have reviewed the application for the Mahi Shrine Carnival
at 450 N. W. 37th Avenue and find it complies with the
provisions in Ordinance #7716.
We recommend this item be scheduled for the next Commission
Meeting.

Dear Sir:
Request is hereby grade for a Permit to allow Mahi Shrine Temple
to conduct a carnival to be held in ccn unction with its annual
circus to be held at Fisgler Kennel Club, Circus dates are
February 10 through 16th, 1975. We are, however, requesting
permission for our Midway Carnival to be held February 7 through
16th, 1975.

The usual rides, such as Merry-go-round, Tilt -a. -Whirl, Ferris
Wheal, Scrambler, will be offered on the midway. In addition,
there will be a number cf concussions, o11 to be in confcrrni ty
with existiting regulations.
For infor:ration, I am enclosing a copy of your letter of October
7, 1974 in reference to Permit to Solicit No. 631. Also, enclosed
is a photocopy of the States of Florida. Certificate of Registration.
Mehl. Temple is fortunate to have as one of its Units, the Provost
Guard, Thio units membership is composed primarily of City of
Niumi police officers and officers of the Public Safety Department.
Their services have always been provided on a voluntary basis,
and I can assure you there will be ample coverage for traffic and
crowd control.
Your favorable consideration of this request will bo greatly
appreciated.
