BERTZEL, AS SECOND REPRESENTATIVE OP THE CITY OF MIAMI FIREFIGHTERS TO THE RETIREMENT BOARD OF THE MIAMI CITY EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM, FOR A TERM TO EXPIRE ON DECEMBER 31, 1978, AND APPROVING THE IMMEDIATE ASSUMPTION OF DUTIES BY SAID JAMES COX, DUE TO THE PREMATURE RESIGNATION OF CHARLES SALERNO, INCUMBENT SECOND REPRE- SENTATIVE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI POLICE OFFICERS. WHEREAS, the City of Miami, the Fraternal Order lice, and the International Association of Firefighters, AFL-CIO Local No. 587, entered into labor agreements, which provide for election of members to the Retirement Board of the Miami City Employees' Retirement System; and WHEREAS, in accordance with said agreements, the City of Miami Police Officers and the City of Miami Firefighters have elected their respective members to said board; and WHEREAS, the President of the Faternal Order of Police and the President of the International Association of Firefighters, AFL-CIO, Local No. 587, have communicated results of said election to the City Manager; and WHEREAS, the City Commission desires to confirm the results of "DOCUMENT INDEX said election; 'TPA° NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED COMMTSSTON-OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The election of JAMES COX, as the second representative of the City of Miami Police Officers, and JOHN J. BERTZEL, as second representative of the City of Miami Firefighters, to the Retirement Board of the Miami City Employees' Retirement System is heraby zonfirned, for a term to expire on December 31, 1978.
