A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN INCREASE IN
THE SCOPE OF THE CONTRACT IN THE NET AMOUNT
Off` $5,000 FOR THE BELCHER PROPERTY - PARK
DEVELOPMENT; AND ALLOCATING THE ADDITIONAL
AMOUNT OF $5,000 FROM THE ACCOUNT ENTITLED
"PUBLIC PARKS & RECREATIONAL FACILITIES
BOND FUND" FOR PAYMENT TO THE CONTRACTOR,
EBSARY FOUNDATION COMPANY.
WHEREAS, a contract was awarded to Ebsary Foundation
Company on May 27, 1976 for the replacement of the failing bulk-
head at the Belcher Property, immediately North of the former
Port of Miami, now BICENTENNIAL PARK; and
WHEREAS, after construction was started
was
the
additional expense
necessary in the containment of residual oil encountered in
excavation in the construction area; and
WHEREAS, this additional expense caused an increase in
scope of the contract in the amount of $5,000, making the adjusted
amount $190,000; and
WHEREAS, funds
of the contract from the
FACILITIES BOND FUND";
are available for the increase in the scope
account entitled "PUBLIC PARKS & RECREATIONAL
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE

is hereby allocated from
the account entitled "PUBLIC PARKS & RECREATIONAL FACILITIES BOND
FUND" for payment to the contractor, Ebsary Foundation Company,
for construction of the BELCHER PROPERTY - PARK DEVELOPMENT by
reason of an increase in the scope of the contract in the amount of
$5,000.

After construction was partially completed additional

THE RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN INCREASE OF THE SCOPE OF
THE CONTRACT IN THE NET AMOUNT OF $5,000 FOR THE BELCHER
PROPERTY - PARK DEVELOPMENT; AND ALLOCATING THE ADDITIONAL

On MAY 1976 a contract was awarded to Ebsary Poundation
COMpany for the replacement of the failing bulkhead at the
Eelcher Property, immediately north of the former Port of
Miami, now Bicentennial Park.
After construction was partially completed additional
expense not anticipated in the original contract was
necessary in the containment of residual oil encountered
in the excavation in the construction area. This
additional expense will necessitac an increase in the
scope of the contract in the amount of $5,000. Funds are
available for the increase in the scope of the contract
from the account entitled "Public Parks & Recreational
Facilities Bond Fund".
The original contract was $185,000 and the increase of
$5,000 will make the adjusted contract $190,000.
