A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH LOWE ART
MUSEUM, UNIVERSITY OF MIAMI, A NONPROFIT
ORGANIZATION, FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUBCONTRACT.,
ING THREE (3) C.E.T.A. PUBLIC SERVICE EMPLOY..
MENT POSITIONS TO BE FUNDED TIHROUGH C.E.T.A,
ALLOCATION AT A RATE NOT TO EXCEED $2,383.33
PER MONTH,INCLUDING 10% FOR SOCIAL SECURITY AND
OTHER FRINGE BENEFITS, TO BE RECEIVED BY THE
CITY OF MIAMI UNDER AGREEMENT BETWEEN DADE
COUNTY, AS AGENT FOR MANPOWER PLANNING CONSORTIUM,
WHEREAS, the City of Miami operates public service
employment programs under the Comprehensive Employment and
Training Act of 1973 (C.E.T.A.), as amended; and
WHEREAS, LOWE ART MUSEUM, UNIVERSITY OF MIAMI,
nonprofit organization, has requested the City of Miami to
provide it certain public service employment positions in
order to enhance services to City of Miami residents;

Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized
enter into an agreement with LOWE ART MUSEUM, UNIVERSITY OF
MIAMI, a nonprofit organization, for the purpose of subcontract-
ing three (3) C.E.T.A. public service employment positions to
be funded through C.E.T.A. allocation at a rate not to exceed
$2,383.33 per month, including 10% for Social Security and other
fringe benefits, to be received by the City of Miami under an
agreement between the City and Metropolitan Dade County, as
agent for the Manpower Planning Consortium.

CETA Positions to Private
Non -Profit OrganizatiOnS4
Enclosed are two proposed retblUtiOnS authOriting the City Manager to
enter into agreements with the local private non-profit organizations
listed below.

Lowe Art Museum for three (3) CETA slots in an amount
not to exceed the rate of $2383.33 per month including
10% for social security and other fringe benefits
effective December 8, 1976.
The National Foundation - March of Dimes for one (1)
CETA slot in an amount not to exceed the rate of $731
per month effective January 3, 1977.
The proposed agreements are for the purpose of providing the above
mentioned organizations with CETA Public Service Employment positions'
allocated to the City of Miami. This will enable the organizations
to enhance services to City of Miami residents.
Therefore, it is appropriate for the City Commission to authorize the
City Manager to enter into the proposed agreement.
