The University of Chicago Industrial Relations Center has provided
the City of Miami with the scope of work to be performed for the
third year of professional. services (January 1977 - December 1977)
The University of Chicago will conduct the following tasks for the
City of Miami:
Finalize recruit testing procedure
• Administer as required one or more recruit screening
examinations
Develop in cooperation with the City of Miami procedures
for ongoing collection and analysis of data to obtain
projected validity
Collect validity evidence in the selection process for:
- Background investigation
Polygraph
Physical agility
Medical examinations
Oral interview
- Academy
Prepare, administer and score promotional exams
of sergeant, lieutenant and captain
Collect and analyze necessary data to establish validity
evidence for promotional procedures

of Chicago will begin this third year contract to identify
procedures by which the City will be able to conduct test valida“on
