i REBOLUTION RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 76-848

THEREFOR A NEW RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING MHE CITY
MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AND EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT
WITH EVELIO LEY & ASSOCIATES, INC., FOR THE
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES OF SAID FIRM IN COORDINAT'
ING AND PROMOTING LATIN AMERICAN TRADE EXHIBITION
IN MIAMI AND THE MEETING OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE INTER-AMERICAN PROMOTION CENTER AS WELL AS
THE SAID FIRM'S PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AND PLANNING,
AND EXECUTING THE FUND RAISING CAMPAIGN FOR THE
AFORESAID EXHIBITION AND ALSO FOR THE RELOCATION
IN THE CITY OF MIAMI OF INTERNATIONAL TRADE GROUPS
WITH CITY FUNDS FOR THE AFORESAID AGREEMENT LIMITED
TO $57,500, AND FURTHER LIMITING THE PAYMENT OF
CITY MONIES TO $35,000 UNTIL THE SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION
OF THE AFORESAID FUND-RAISING CAMPAIGN.
Bt IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to
negotiate and execute an agreement with Evelio Ley & Associates,
Inc. for the professional services of said firm in assisting in the
following projects:
A. Coordination and Promotion of the Board of
Directors meeting of the Interamerican Promotion
Center (CIPE) .
• Planning, organizing, and coordinating the Latin
American Trade Exhibition in Miami, if approved
on the previous Board of Directors meeting of CIPEO
• Working towards the relocation in the City of
Miami of international organisms involved in
foreign trade in Latin America.
• Planning and executing the campaign for raising
the necessary funds for the above projects.
Section 2. The funds for the aforesaid agreement from
Community Development Block Grant funds (Economic Development) and
other budgeted funds, are limited to $57,500 with only $35,000 of the
aforesaid amount hereby authorized, with the expenditure of the
remaining $22,500 conditioned upon successful completion by said firm
of its fund-raising projects as set forth in Section 1.D hereof.
