HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-76-106676-1066 REgOLUTION ALLOCATING POLICE AND CRIME 1REVENTION BOND FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT or $150,000 TO FUND SIX CIVIL SERVICE POSITIONS FOR THE 1977 CALENDAR YEAR FOR THE CONTINUED IMPLEMENTATION OF THE COMPUTER BASED INFOR- MATION SYSTEM FOR THE MIAMI MODERN POLICE i� DEPARTMENT PROGRAM, AND COMPLETION OF ACTUAL nn/ SYSTEMS TESTING AND TRIAL OPERATIONS IN 1977 FOLLOW" WHEREAS, the Civil Service Board had established class ifications of Senior Systems Analyst, Analyst/Programmer II and Analyst/Programmer II; and WHEREAS, funds in the amount of $150,000, which were required to fund these positions for the calendar year 1976, were available in the Police and Crime Prevention Facility Bond Fund, and accordingly were allocated by Resolution No. 75-1178, enacted on December 19, 1975; and WHEREAS, it will be necessary to maintain these pro- fessional computer positions during the 1977 calendar year to continue the implementation of the Police Department's computer based information systems and complete actual systems WHEREAS, the amount of $150,000 is and trial operations in 1977; "DDCUMEt�T(..)NDE),(, iIrhd AI `Yf the ecT"-�" to fund these positions and is available in the Police and Crime Prevention Facility Bond Fund; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE ;CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. Such funding out of Pollee bond monies was approved by the Law Department in a memorandum to the Finance Department dated 11 n(+ob ,; q7 In the 22 April 1975 report to the City Commission, computer system development costs were estimated for Phases I, II, and III of the MMPD Program. The estimate included salaries for these positions for the two calendar years -- 1976 and 1977. Therefore, an allocation of Police bond monies fop these six positions for the calendar •year 1977 will fall within the costs previously estimated to the City Commission.
