RESOLUTION NO, 76-1658
1 RESOLUTION DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO
AbVERTISE FOR AND RECEIVE PROPOSALS FROM
LANbSCAPE ARCHITECTURAL FIRMS IN DADE COUNTY
POR PROFESSIONAL DESIGN SERVICES FOR CUBAN
MEMORIAL BOULEVARD, LOCATED IN THE CITY OF
MIAMI AT S.W. 13 AVENUE BETWEEN S.W. 8 STREET
AND S.W. 11 STREET; AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO APPOINT A COMPETITIVE SELECTION
COMMITTEE FOR THE PURPOSES OF REVIEW, EVALUA-
TION AND RANKING OF INTERESTED FIRMS IN TERMS
OF THEIR QUALIFICATIONS TO PERFORM NEEDED
SERVICES; FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO COMMENCE NEGOTIATIONS WITH SAID FIRMS IN
THE ORDER ASSIGNED BY THE SAID COMMITTEE.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami in its second year
Community Development Block Grant provided $100,000 for the
beautification of Cuban Memorial Boulevard within the Little
Havana Community Development Target Area; and
WHEREAS, the Latin Community has requested the
beautification of. the Cuban Memorial Boulevard with features
that properly reflect Latin -cultural characteristics incorporat-
ing existing natural and man-made features to the design;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY T E ISSION

Section 1. The City Clerk Eis M heereby directed to
advertise publicly and receive proposals from landscape archi-
tectural firms in Dade County for pirlfessional design services
for Cuban Memorial Boulevard located in the Lity "If Miami,
Florida, at S.W. 13 Avenue between S.W. 8 Street and S.W. 11
Street.
Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized
to appoint a Competitive Selection Committee for purposes of
review, evaluation and ranking of interested firms in terms
of their qualifications to perform needed services.
