SAIb EVENT Pti SUANT TO AUTHORITY oP COUNTY RESOLUTION NO, R-1251=76; REPEALING ALL.ORbINANCES, CODE SECTIONS OR PARTS THEREOF IN CONFLICT; ANb CONTAINING A SEVERAHILITY CLAUSE, WHEREAS, other governmental entities throughout Florida sponsor and participate in legislative weekends to foster positive, affirmative and effective relationships between their citizens and Members of the Florida Legislature and WHEREAS, this Commission findsand determines that sponsorship of a legislative weekend is an essential public purpose which will benefit the citizens and residents of Miami; and WHEREAS, the Dade County Commission has authorized $14,000 to be provided to the City for the joint sponsorship of the legislative weekend to be held during the month of December, 1976; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION,OF, THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. Ordinance No. 8589 , the annual appropriation ordinance for fiscal year 1976-77 is hereby amended by appropriating $14,000 for joint sponsorship of "Florida Legislative Weekend" Section 2,, Receipt of $14,000 from Dade County, Florida, for joint sponsorship of Florida Legislative Weekend pursuant to County Resolution No, R--1251-76 is hereby approved, 8detioh 11 :Ali ordinanded, ockie aeotiana of pants thereof ih donflidt herewith, insofar as they ate ih dbhflidt, are hereby repealedt. Section 46 If any sedtion,sentende, clause, phrase o].'Word of this ordinance is for any reason held or declared to be unconstitutional, inoperative or Void, such holding or invalidity shall not affect the remaining portions of this ordinance, and it shall be construed to have been the intent of the City Commission to pass this ordinance without such unconstitutional, invalid, or inoperative part therein; and the remainder of this ordinance, after the exclusion of such part or parts shall be deemed and held to be valid as if such parts had not been included therein. Section 5. This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure on the ground of urgent public need for the preservation of peace, health, safety and property in the City of Miami. Section 6. The requirement of reading this ordi- nance on two separate days is hereby dispensed with by a vote of not less than four -fifths of the Members of the Commission.
