At' the September 23, 1976 City Commission meeting, the
bepartment of Public Works presented a sketch of how the
Chevron Station at the P & 0 property might be utilized
as a tourist center rher thn:1 he ,1.c'•.ciished. '.['he City
Coomi.ssion expressed int ei c :;'. in the idea, but not particular
liking of the plan presented, and suggested that we ask
Edward Durrell Stone and Associates to review the building
and come up with an idea.
This they have done, and it is again presented so that the
City Commission may decide whether they would like to pursue
this idea or have the building demolished.
