considered the Department f OffSt
During the course of that discussion, it was requested that the City
Administration, together with the Department of Off -Street Parking
develop recommendations relative to the current fines levied by
Metropolitan Dade County for infractions of the Metropolitan Dade
County Code pertaining to parking, stopping or standing rules and
regulations.
That review has been completed and it is the joint recommendation of
the City Manager and the Director of the Department of Off -Street
Parking that the following fine schedule be recommended by the City
Commission for adoption by Metropolitan Dade County:

It should be noted that it is the feeling of both the City Manager and the
Director of the Department of Off -Street Parking that levying such a fine
structure would provide a penalty that would encourage offenders to abide
by the present parking, stopping and standing rules and regulations.

EXPLA NA TION
Consideration of the designation of certain areas in the Coconut Grove and
Brickell areas of Miami as Scenic Transportation corridors:
a) South Miami Avenue from SE 15th Road to Alatka Street
-- north of SE 32nd Road, includes only the public right-of-way.
south of SE 32nd Road, includes zoned street yard area.

South Bayshore Drive from Alatka Street to McFarlane Road
includes zoned street right-of-way plus:
a. On all abutting private property, the corridor boundary
extends up to the facing wall of the primary structure.
If there are no structures on the property the corridor
boundary will coincide with the minimum setback line
required by the zoning ordinance. One exception is the
property described as Fairview PB 4-176, Lots 5 and 6,
Block 1, which shall be entirely included within the
boundaries of this Scenic Transportation corridor.
All abutting City -owned property shall be entirely in-
cluded within the boundaries of the Scenic Transportation
Corridor; with the exception of the area located on the
southeast side of South Bayshore Drive between SW 27th
Avenue and Aviation Avenue, where the Scenic Transporta-
tion Corridor boundaries will extend 20' from the zoned
street right-of-way.
