Sealed bids for "SHENANDOAH PARK .0 SPOt1T8 LIGHTING AND
t111'CS 1976" will be received by the City Manager and the
t.ity Clerk of The City of Miami, Florida, not later than
2t00 P.M. on the 26th day of October, 1976, in the City
Clerk's office, Dinner Key, Miami, Florida 33133, at which
time and place they will be publicly opened and read.
. The project consists of the construction of squash and
handball courts, also the lighting of these courts, along
with lighting for ball diamonds, and football/soccer fields.
There will also be improvements made to the tennis court
lighting. The park is located at S.W. 18 Street between
21st and 22nd Avenues.
All bids shall be submitted in accordance with the
instructions to Bidders and Specifications. Plans and
Specifications may be obtained from the Office of the
Director, Department of Public Works, 3332 Pan American
Drive, Miami, Florida. Plans and specifications are to be
returned in good condition and unmarked within 30 days after
bids have been received.
Proposal includes the time of performance and Specifica-
tions contain provisions for liquidated damages for failure
to complete the work on time.
The City Commission reserves the right to waive any
informality in any bid, and the City Manager may reject any
or all bids, and re -advertise.

Resolution No.
The attached resolution will authorize the City Manager
to enter into an agreement with Metropolitan Dade
County through the Manpower Planning Consortium of Dade
and Monroe Counties pursuant to the City of Miami
Resolution No. 74-111 for the purpose of receiving
funds for the operation of the City of Miami Appren-
ticeship Program. In addition, this resolution will
authorize the City Manager to expend funds and enter
into contracts ratifying the city's implementation of
the aforesaid program.
FILL
The total of C.E.T.A. Title I funds allocated for the
Apprenticeship Program is $93,000.00. The budget
will be comprised of $82,642.00 for personnel services;
$300.00 for contractual services; $800.00 for commodities;
and $9,258.00 for fixed and sundry charges. The total
in kind contribution by the City will be $35,206.68,
which consists of an estimated percentage of salaries
of related supervisory personnel and the percentage of
the projected utility usage within the Director's
Office.
This program will indenture, employ, and train twelve
(12) apprentices for the fiscal year 1976-77 according
to the City of Miami Standards of Apprenticeship and
will employ six (6) part time instructors at $9,072.00
for the academic instruction component of 144 hours
per year.
