The North -South Golf Taurnarncnt is scheduled for
February 8-12, 1977, at Miami Springs Golf Course.
The City had, until last year, waived the greens
fees for this Tournament. A: the ?.976 Tournament,
the fee was $2.00 per player, per round. This year
we are recommending that thy' greens fees be increased
to $3.00 per player, per routed.
The Tournament Director is continuing the policy of
awarding scholarships to deserving young students; this
has been verified. The Pro Shop will be utilized for
prizes and Clubhouse used for banquets.
The North...South Tournament has been with the City for
many years, and. it brings in }nany people to Miami.
Our participation has helped the Miami Springs Golf
Course in increasing more play by both residents and
touri sts who played in the Tournament for the first time.
Attached is a Resolution recommending the partial waiver
of fees.
