RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH PUERTO RICAN
OPPORTUNITY CENTER, A NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION
FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUBCONTRACTING TWO (2)
C.E.T.A. PUBLIC SERVICE EMPLOYMENT POSITIONS
TO BE FUNDED THROUGH C.E.T.A. ALLOCATION OF
$4,720.57 TO BE RECEIVED BY THE CITY OF MIAMI
UNDER AGREEMENT BETWEEN CITY AND METROPOLITAN
BADE COUNTY, AS AGENT FOR THE MANPOWER PLAN-
NING CONSORTIUM.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami operates public service
loyment programs under the Comprehensive Employment and
aping Act of 1973 (C.E.T.A.), as amended; and
WHEREAS, Puerto Rican Opportunity Center, a non-
profit organization, has requested the City of Miami to provide
to it certain public service employment positions in order to
enhance services to City of Miami residents;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to
enter into an agreement with Puerto Rican Opportunity Center,
a nonprofit organization, for the purpose of subcontracting
two (2) C.E.T.A. public service employment positions to be
funded through C.E.T.A. allocation of $4,720.57 to be received
by the City of Miami under an agreement between the City and
Metropolitan Dade County, as agent for the Manpower Planning
Consortium.
